The short version: Holy Instant keeps no account of You. It collects no data, has no sign-in, and holds nothing about who You are. What follows only says that more plainly.
Two promises hold this whole app up. Private, always: nothing You do here is collected, sold, or tied to You. Open to everyone: every screen is built to be reached however You read, hear, and see. They are one commitment — Your dignity — and they are never traded away. This page is the first promise; its companion is Accessibility.
What is collected
Nothing. Holy Instant collects no personal data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits watching what You do. Nothing You bring here is gathered into a profile, because there is no profile.
No account, no sign-in
The app asks for no name, no email, and no password, and it has no login of any kind. You are never identified to it, and it never asks You to be.
Grace
When You write to Grace, the message You send and the passages of the Course needed to answer it are sent to be answered, and are kept no longer than it takes to return a reply. They are never stored afterward and never tied to Your name, Your device, or any identity — because none is known. Grace speaks only from the Course.
You can also speak to her out loud, or into Your journal. When You do, Your voice is sent to a secure service that turns it into text, and then it is gone — the words are what the app keeps, never the sound. Nothing is stored, nothing is ever used to train anything, and nothing is tied to You: the request carries no name and no account, so it cannot be traced back to a person. It is the same promise as everything else here — what has to leave the phone is held by no one. The app tells You this plainly the first time You reach for the microphone.
Your highlights and reflections
What You highlight and what You write go to Your own iCloud — the private one, in Your name, the same place Your photos and notes already live. That is how they come back if You ever lose the phone or get a new one. It is Your iCloud, not a server of mine: there is no server of mine for them to sit on, and I have no key to Yours. No one but You can read them.
If You turn iCloud off for Holy Instant, they simply stay on the device in Your hand and go nowhere at all.
No trackers, no third parties, no ads
Holy Instant contains no advertising networks, no analytics services, and no third-party trackers. Nothing about Your use of the app is shared with anyone, because nothing about it is collected in the first place.
Everyone is welcome
The app is rated for all ages and is safe for anyone to use. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes, and reaching a person
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will live here, at this address. If anything is unclear, You are welcome to write to matt@uxuiai.org.
